Review: I was surprised when I realized this film is funny now 26 years old! Movies of 1964 seen in 1988 looks billions of years apart ..... how can a movie like 1980's is still so new and so fresh play in 2010? Besides it being funnier and actually inspired me actually now better appreciate the legacy of John Hughes in the series he films released in that period of 5 years from 1984 to 1989. Anthony Michael Hall is just gorgeous Molly Ringwald welcomed and worthy of his fame in the teen council of fame. Whatever happened to Michael Schoeffling (Jake) .... who knows? Does not seem appropriate that so many future stars got their start in this film he seems to go nowhere. I was also very surprised he got a PG rating ....... given event and lift oath Bogel .. but I think the spirit of it all it is appropriate for anyone 12-112 pic. Very smart and very funny.
